Is that called Hit and Run ?
He's been typing his reply for days.
MOST HAMS BUILD THEIR OWN KEYBOARDS but he bought his at Shelby.
Not around here! While $15 admittedly is on the high end for general admission, I haven't seen a hamfest as low as $5 in long time. More like $8 to $10 for general admission, and as much as $25 if you want a tailgate space.
Do they charge a different price for a Technician ?
A few of the really successful fests round here have free admission. It's what makes them successful.
I reckon that if some if the "dying" ones would reduce their price just a few bucks and advertise it really well, they'd see a surge in attendance.
Most of the ones around here have free admission to the restrooms too.
More problematic is having too few and too small ones. For reasons I don't quite understand (but most women claim to), most men can't seem to hit a toilet in a small space, especially in a hurry (or in China). It's why I have _____fest boots.

Our LAKESIDE club just put on the first SAN DIEGO HAMFEST last month, and they charged $5 to get in and another $5 for the tailgate space. free parking otherwise. Everyone had a grand time, I sure did with all the junk I bought!
maybe it was cheaper to buy than to build?
Would you like him to forge his own alumimum tubing from bauxite as well?
