The K9GCI account was hacked via a phishing scheme and a scam ad for an ALS-1306 was placed. QRZ has since removed the ad and locked the account. This group tracks to Nairobi Kenya with one well educated English speaker in Utah. The email used was jn12436@gmail.com and the International PayPal is Robert Auma robertauamah@gmail.com.
This group is sophisticated enough to request payments in less than $1,000 increments to avoid the PayPal automatic review of international person to person payments of $1,000 and more and are using a technique to further lull unsuspecting buyers by not making the second payment due until the item is shipped and a bogus tracking number has been issued.
The hacked accounts will change and so will the email addresses. They are using high ticket items and the ads and emails are very convincing. Be careful out there.

I've banned the account for now. The scammer cannot use it anymore.

I got your PM and will forward to QRZ HQ

Thanks for everything you did to shut this one down, particularly because of the difficult circumstances. The email and PP accounts have been burned and the Utah participant is between a rock and a hard place because he's been outed. This group was causing havoc on a number of venues so it's nice to know they've been slowed down a little. Keep up the excellent work!
