The 2002 Raleigh Hamfest and ARRL NC State Convention (RARSfest) is April 14th at the North Caroling State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC.

RARSfest is an all indoor hamfest with average attendance of 2,500. Riley Hollingsworth will be the speaker at one of the forums at the hamfest. RARSfest features walk-in license testing (thanks to the RARS VE team), commercial booths, flea market tables, and forums.

Complete overnight camper/motor-home facilities are available from the Fairgrounds authorities.

For the XYL's, non-hams, or anyone with interests other than ham radio - the NC State Farigrounds also has an admission free huge outdoor flea market on the grounds where you will find everything from shoe laces to buildings for sale. Some of the hamfest vendors even set up on the outdoor flea market Saturday, and move indoors to the RARSfest for Sunday (See http://www.ncstatefair.org/fleamarket.htm for more information about the NC State Fairgrounds flea market.)

Drive in setup access Saturday afternoon (April_13th) followed by a complimentary supper/social for vendors and dealers from 7-8 pm.

Pre-register by April 6th. for discounted admission tickets and tables. (There is also an additional prize drawing from the pre-registration ticket stubs.)
