QSO Today Podcast - Gordon "Gordo" West WB6NOA

Gordon West, “Gordo”, WB6NOA, may be one of ham radio’s most well known ambassadors and promoters of our amateur radio hobby today. Through his books and courses over the years, Gordo, has licensed thousands of individuals to become amateur radio operators. Got my novice ticket at one of Gordon's classes.

Been by the house a number of times when I lived out there. He did a write up for one of the magazines on a mobile HF installation I had done.

Thanks again Gordo, I met him at an event here in Reno a couple years after I was licensed and thanked him in person. Gordo was my Elmer and inspired me and my XYL. and I have not given up
hope on one of my offspring getting their ticket as well My youngest daughter is currently using Gordon's Tech class study guide. also the Grand kids, as soon as they can read Hi Hi

Gordo's GROL book was one of the resources that led me not only to the GROL and Ship Radar Endorsement, but also to the GMDSS Operator/Maintainer and the Commercial Radiotelegraph Licenses.
My wife (a non Ham, retired Teacher) STILL comments when I watch Ham Nation about meeting Gordo when she accompanied me to Dayton. Wife's Opinion after listening with me: So INTERESTING that Gordo has a Business Degree and not one in Education, because he's one of the best Educators: I think that this is WHY he is so!
