Dale Huguley reports via APRS mailing list... "Popo" Volcano near Mexico City is acting up and may pose a threat the the 20 million or so people that live in the Valley of Mexico. I am now parsing Volcanic Ash Advisories and will plot the location of the offending volcano... The closest icon I could find is the "smoke" icon. Plotting the trajectory in APRS presents an interesting problem- as a vector it would cause the volcano to move with dead reckoning turned on (!). As a weather object it would show 180 out of phase- wind is shown by where it is coming from- ash is going somewhere.
