When I look for K5PSG on QRZ I find a total different person? Robert Cornett from Albequerque NM. Can anyone explain this to me?
Thanks, W7UUU and WB70XP. Yes, I went to the FCC site and saw it was a vanity call. I just didn't know it was possible to use a call that was someone else's first. It appears strange to me; I thought an assigned call remained unique to 1 person, even when SK. Bert
Yup - it's true. Once a callsign is cancelled, it can move along to anyone who applies for it... whether cancelled by choice or via SK My own call, W7UUU, came from a Silent Key - so did the call sign I'm trustee for a little club I started, with the callsign KN7NNN Dave W7UUU
Thanks Guys- just by chance I had queried that call sign, and a myriad of others, but no luck--guess I just assumed Peggy Sue was a ham until the end. 73 Bob K9CWP ( My Dad, Richard's[ sk] callsign )
