On Oct 1st. my Dad Paul L. Alford KB6NYB passed, He was 86 years old. He was a retired law enforcement officer and a Korean war veteran. Paul was laid to rest on Oct. 26th at the New Auburn Cemetery with full Military honors. Thanks Dad for teaching me the great hobby of amateur radio. You will be missed. RIP Paul L. THANK YOU LEE & PAUL, Paul L. Alford, Jr, KB6NYB SK Paul L. Alford Jr. 4/1/1933 - 10/1/2019 Passed away peacefully at the age of 86. He was born in Oakland CA. to Paul and Yolanda Alford. He graduated in 1951 from Le Grand High School, Le Grand. Ca. Paul Leaves his wife Carol Alford of 63 Years, Brother, Raymond (Marilyn) R Alford, Las Vegas NV, 4 sons Robert (Karen) of Wheatland Ca., Stuart of Reno NV. , Paul G (Lisa) of Colorado Springs Co., Scott (Amy) of Auburn CA. 4 Grandsons and 2 Granddaughters. Upon Graduation he signed up for the Army (82nd Airborne) and served during the Korean War. After Korea, his career in Law Enforcement and Security continued for much of his life. He enjoyed many years as a master mason and DeMolay Advisor. He was a very active member of Sierra Foothills Radio Club. He served faithfully with the VFW Honor Guard. He also served many years with the California State Military Reserve. Burial Service will commence at 11 am, Oct. 26, 2019 at the New Auburn Cemetery.
