This unit is very heavy duty, however it does have its Achilles heel.
Be very careful when loading to a 160 meter antenna. The unit has an internal relay to switch in a balun for that band. It is a very small relay and the printed circuit board can be destroyed by an arc between the relay mounting posts. I have had to purchase two such shunt inductor control units $29.95 each) due to short across the relay at the board. On 160 meters use the lowest power level you can when loading. It might be a good idea to check your antenna with an analyzer before attempting to use it on 160 meters. This is an excellent tuner but can not compensate for an antenna that doesn't even come close to resonance on that band. Besides, if all your power is wasted in the feed line, you won't talk very far anyway.
