ISM is industrial, scientific, and medical. Unlicensed. But power restricted, mode restricted, etc.

315 seems to be used a lot for remote door openers and automobile keys.

Google ISM and report back what you find. What's most common in the 2400 MHz band?

IF we got bandwidth we MUST use it. We lost the bottom 2 megs of 220 to some FAILED commercial project - just because we didn't use it.

It disables the radio, not the thief.

    Run-down on rig...
Had one for 3+ years still works well crossbanded most of its life durable!.
    Cross bands without de-sense 2m to 6m or 10m to 2m, 2m 0r 6, to 70cm is perfect.
Cannot cross band on 6 meters to 29 mhz.
Clear mic audio unlike tyt 7800- 9800 they are foggy, muffled tyt never fixed that
the issue mic element in the mic itself it'sa tiny HT element 're fab another mic.
Note: tyt th9000D series mics are perfect sounding the 7800-9800 mics need .
Mic cord is long and rubberized not plastic all features on mic& face plate.
Face can be straight out or tilted up see the in box face bezel.
Remote cable face bracket included you add other bracket ect (mic jack on side face).
VHF 2m can get spurs of inter-mod in inner metro cities, 70cm, 10m, 6m, not effected.
Has dual speakers on top little one lacks audio. use ext speakers.
Fan runs upon transmission or always only.
Better quality then tyt But dual vol control on right for each band, Squelch is in menu.
Though it is a great radio extended recieve on low band and aircraft all am RX only
    It is not a Yeasu FT-8900r . About $300 with software .
Note: vol controls are rotory encoders not reg pots vol moves in steps of off to 30.
Colors of display white, blue , green no amber or yellow.
But it has lasted is a good performer.

Has a remote cable and face bezel to mount face straight or tilted up, the rj 45 mic input
is on the side of face so that where ever the face is at the radio chassis can be elsewhere.
All standard in the box with radio.
Most people would be best with a ft-8900r $339
But Wouxun 950P more quality then tyt.

Alas, a sorrowful "NO!!!" :-( But when you look @ the global procurement practices, to cut costs, even the other countries I'd mentioned earlier DO BUY various components from the infamous "PRC"!!! From a economic standpoint since 1980 (really) they've learned their astute MARKETING ECONOMY from the (EARLIER BEST) us !!! :)
