    Sherwood Engineering has posted the test results for the TS-890 on their website: http://www.sherweng.com/table.html
    It's a good receiver, but it isn't any better than the Elecraft K3S, the Hilberling PT-8000A, or the Icom IC-7851. The Kenwood is currently selling for $4500 after discounts and coupons are applied, so it's cheaper than the Hilberling and the Icom, but you can build a K3S with a second receiver for approximately the same price. Add an SDRplay receiver for $170 and you can have a "spectrum scope" for your shack that's bigger and more versatile than the one that's built into the TS890.
