I have so much crap going on in my life right now and then I learned that Larry N0HTK has passed away. I am heart broken. In his electronics classes is where I became a ham. I got my novice there and he spend his own time and money taking us to Kansas City to the FCC for us in the class to upgrade. He was not only a teacher but after high school he was a good friend. Ham radio kept us together for so many years. He was a part of our club in Chariton, Iowa and was so much fun to be around. So it is a little different to me then just another ham friend passing cause he was more then just a ham friend. I became what I did in my career because of Larry. He was the best teacher I ever had and the teacher that had the most effect on my life for how I turned out.
