    'He's 46 and he's still my baby'

    ST. LOUIS, Missouri —
An Illinois woman used an old-fashioned way to communicate with her son, who was missing after Tropical Storm Harvey wreaked havoc on Texas.

    Nice story !
I'm sure there were many similar stories that transpired during that
    beast of a Hurricane.

I monitored 7290 for a couple of days, there were quite a few health and welfare messages passed.

Recently, considerable time and effort has been invested in reinvigorating the national messaging layer of traffic networks. The results were evident in the services provided during Hurricane Harvey. Take a moment or two to visit the Radio Relay International web page: www.radio-relay.org. Learn more in the "QNI Newsletter" at: www.qni-newsletter.net. These resources provide information about the RRI International Digital Traffic Network as well as efforts to improve the common-denominator voice and CW nets. There's also information about affiliated programs such as the "National SOS Radio Network" and so forth. Radio Relay International also has a "Facebook" page at: https://www.facebook.com/radiorelayinternational/

Another reason to pass HR. 515 How many more people could have been able to help if they weren't restricted?

Definitely, need to get the Parity Act passed. This would be the best possible time to do so given all the natural disasters going on.

As a short wave listener in my teens, I used to visit WA9TZL and watch him operate his amateur radio gear. He was my initial "Elmer" as he got me interested in Amateur Radio. Great job WA9TZL!

Countless more would lose HF capability. Go read the bill.

Kudos to the people involved, but don't conflate this with supporting the Parity Act. It's a deeply flawed bill and much has been written about this. Hopefully, it will fail like all the others. This bill will likely help the HOA's more than the hams and result in liability for a lot of innocent hams.

and what can be greatest about this service.

Having read the bill, I have no idea why you think that.

I am certain that is so. If you do your homework you will see.
