    Bill was like my brother from another mother I will miss his bad but he and my other woman KC9HTT Judy are with KA9paz Robert Turner and Homer Bruce K9BMB are hamming it up there and smiling one me.

    William G. Avery, KW9UFO SK July 15, 2017

    William Grant Avery, 72, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, in Lake City, Fla.
    He was born May 2, 1945, in Terre Haute, to the late Orval and Sadie Avery.

    He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years, retired from the U.S.P.S. as a transportation supervisor in 2000 and as a hobby was a ham radio operator.
    He attended high school in Terre Haute, and also Adelphi College.

    "Bill" leaves to cherish his memories wife, Dora Avery; son, William II; stepdaughters, Marie Alivino and Priscilla (Luke) Rahman; three grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; two aunts; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a host of relatives and friends.

    Special friends, Deedee and Curtis James; and special nieces, Lesia Jones and Stephanie Stephens.

    Services are Friday, July 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh MBC with his calling from 10 a.m. until service time, with interment in the Danville National Cemetery in Danville , Ill.

    Russell Funeral Home assisted.
