I have a Kenwood TS 430S HF that has low TX power, AM carrier goes to about 10W max and should be 50-60W, SSB upper or lower equal goes to about 22W on all bands. Current draw is close to normal for full output (17.5A). It appears also the fan circuit is not right because it should kick in on high and doesn't. Does this into dummy load or antenna and verified SWR on all antennas with other rigs. Several years ago I had one act similar
and it was the fan control switching circuit. Already checked on this and that portion of fan circuit appears to be good. Any help with similar issues appreciated. All other functions are normal, excellent receive, tuning, turn on etc...

Maybe I posted this in the wrong thread?? I am just hoping someone has had a similar issue or recommend somewhere else to check. Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks for the links VK2TIL,
Some of the fixes described had already been done to this rig. I will investigate some of the others. I don't see anything about the fan. It is supposed to kick on high but doesn't right now.

    Thanks again
