Jack the Cat

In memory of my companion, Jack the Cat who was put down on September 3rd 2002 due to sudden illness.  After about 15 years of friendship he is now gone.  I have convinced myself that it was the best thing I could do for him as his friend.  I took him home as a kitten from the North Shore Animal League in Long Island NY.  He was the one in the cage that wanted to be with me.  Well, I took him home because of this.  His whole body and head would fit in the palm of my hand.  He grew up to be a Tuxedo cat and about 15lbs.  His companion (and sister) Jill, was adopted by another family.

Speaking of friendship, he was probably my best friend and was always around me and the ham shack to keep me company.  He liked to lay in my lap, curl around my feet to keep them warm or he would climb on the desk and lay on the amp while working DX.  He liked the warmth and the hum from the blower motor.

I will miss him greatly.
