    Hi All,

Going to install my FT-857D in my truck here shortly. Looking for a recommendation for an online vendor for wire and terminals and such. I've looked on Amazon / Ebay but seem to be a lot on junk on there.

Check your local auto supply store. There aren't that many terminals needed to do an install of an 857.

Agree with K7JEM. Add Lowe's, Ace Hardware. has some stuff that might interest you.

And large gauge stranded wire at car stereo install shops.

I found that semi truck parts stores have great stuff for electrical. Also NAPA car parts stores. I love NAPA's hook up wire. So far, both have had good connectors. Lowes and HD....not so good.

The only thing about buying wire from most stereo shops is the stranding. Audiophiles seem to like the real flexible stuff, which is fine if you have a hydraulic crimper for the big stuff. If you try to solder it, it wicks badly which causes a weak point which vibration can destroy.

I've purchased stuff like this from local commercial two way radio installation shops.
