    Ray Stewart AB8NN passed away last night according to his xyl. Anyone that knew him and the many hams that talked to him on the air will agree that he was one great guy and will be missed by not only his family but his ham buddies. 73, Ray may you rest in peace you old salt!

    Raymond Eugene Stewart, 79, of Burlington, was called to the Lord Friday, January 15, 2016.

    Ray was a retired painter, employed by General Motors.
    He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
    His hobbies include scuba diving, model airplanes, sailing, riding motorcycles, playing guitar and being a Ham radio operator.

    He is preceded in death by 4 sisters and 1 brother.

    Ray is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dolores Abrams Stewart, daughters; Deborah Belmont, Jennifer Ellis, Julie Jackson (Anthony) and Angelique Shouse (Roy), sons; Raymond Stewart Jr. and Michael Stewart, sisters; Irene Clem, Martha Mason and Celesta Jedding, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgrandson.

    Services are private at the convenience of the family.
