    Hello Hams,

Please visit www.mrsf.mn for valid licensed Opeartor's list of Mongolia. There are several hams Operating on HF without proper amateur radio license in Mongolia. Communications Regulatory Communication of Mongolia and MRSF are working to stop such a illegal operations here and will announce to the public the callsigns used illegally. And will ask DXCC Committee not count the QSL cards of those Callsigns for DXCC award.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Batu, JT1CS

They all have about the same QSL reply percentage.

I did, and did not see a link in English to find such information.

Edit: Never mind, I found the link. Thank you.

Ya' know, at first I blew your comment off Martin, and than got to thinking how many contacts over so many years with Mongolia, QSL'd...and never received a reply. So, I dug into the log and checked.

Dating back to 1986 and as late as 2010, I've NINE...THREE with the same operator and all sent a QSL with all the return poo-foo-rah. Never received a return.

I'm guessing, of those six operators, maybe ALL SIX were phony! Hard to believe since all ope were CW.

LOVE your goat! (We just got some for the new QTH...and two donkeys too!)

    73 sir!

I show 6 contacts with JT and three QSL cards. The other three I didn't send a card since already had cards for that band or mode.

I don't live far from Mongolia, in terms of HF. I have just one contact from there (IARU station known to a friend). What frequency are they operating on? I'm on 15m and 40m, primarily. They must be pretty poor at making antennas.

Thanks - I have also heard a couple of strange JT calls in the last few months. BTW, it's a balmy -30C in UB today. Time for some SOTA activations?

I visited there in January 2009 and actually started enjoying the cold dry wx.

I've only got two different JTs in the log here but on various bands and both QSLed promptly via direct+GS. AA and CO are both quite active with a potent signal in KP4.

Worked him in 2001, 2002 and 2015, 3 different bands and confirmed only in 2001. Didn't send card in the other dates.
