    Will ILINK be the savior of Amateur Radio?  Will it bring in new ham's?  Or is it just another instant messenger service?? [​IMG]

    I've been hamming for close to 20 years now.. Since I was a teenager in High school. I have seen a lot of changes in all areas of our hobby! Now Ilink...Well being a dyed in the wool hf man! I have to say.. I am hooked on ILINK and its cousin...IRLP....its bring us all together and linking the world of hams into a closer nit society!

    ILINK has endless possibilities
    for the entire ham community.

    WHAT AM I MISSING ON ILINK??? I LOADED THE PROGRAM,SELECTED BEGIN --- I SEE MY CALL SIGN LISTED -- I THEN CLICK ON ANOTHER CALL SIGN BUT IT WILL NEVER CONNECT --- I AM NOT TRYING TO USE THE VHF /UHF AS I LIVE IN THE BOONIES AND THERE ARE NO REPEATERS AROUND --- I UNDERSTOOD I SHOULD GET A CONNECTION ON HF --- HAVE I FORGOTTEN TO DO SOMETHING [​IMG]

    I wonder if your internet provider has a fire wall sir??

    If so you might need to run a litle program to get around that..
    Or change providers..

    What windows version are you using??

    I AM RUNNING WINDOWS 98 2ND EDITION AND I AM NOT SURE IF MY ISP HAS A FIREWALL --- I THINK SO BUT NOT SURE --- IS THAT A PROBLEM AND IF SO WHAT PROGRAM DO I NEED TO RUN [​IMG]?
