706 for QRZ_edited-1.jpg Radio works properly on all bands and in all respects. Tuner tunes 160 through 6 meters. Includes power cord and tuner connecting cord and separation cable to use control head separate from radio body. Also includes owners manual and service manual, Icom hand mike and adapter to allow use of mikes with 8 pin plug and amplifier relay cable. Everything you need except antenna and coax.Would like to get $750.00 or trade for amplifier capable of 1000 to 1200 watts, preferable using a pair of 3-500 tubes. Contact at: johndobbs@cox.net or 225-273-2334. I am original owner an have taken good care of it. Also included is mounting bracket for radio body and mounting plate to mount control head on dash board. My call is WA5OLU

Is that a MKIIG? I ask because my 706 classic doesn't tune 6m. What is it's bench pwr out now?

It is the original 706 but it tunes and transmits 50 to 54 mHz, and the power is 100 watts on all bands except 2 meters.

I can't really use a CB amp on 75 meters, or 40 or even 20 or 15 meters. But thanks for your offer. Appreciate it and good luck.

03383 is the serial number, and yes it has been mobile, worked great, used a screwdriver antenna also hustlers. Tuned up with no problems on all bands mobile,
When I changed cars I took the 706 out of mobile use and put in my home station and used it with a amplifier and worked all bands both DX and rag chew.
The reason I am letting it go, is that I fell into a deal (too good to be true) on a new digital Kenwood and I don't need the 706 anymore. Probably said more than necessary
so, that's it, and I hope I answered your questions. Oh, cosmetic condition 9+ out of ten, no dents, dings, scratchs, actually it looks like it just came out of the box brand new.
