The best preparation for disaster is developing mental and physical adaptability. Whatever you think might happen and however you prepare, you may still not be ready for the random thing that comes your way.

On a side note... we got Area 51. I want to know where the other 50 areas are.

With apologies to Maxwell Smart: How do you know there are only 51? There could be thousands of which only one ...

I guess now I better go and watch / listen to the OP to see what it's all about.

I use qrp ssb mono bands (MFJ-9420X and MFJ-9440X) that draw 60 ma on rx and runs a long time on even AA size batteries, CB mobiles (Midland 77-805) with portable type attached antenna and you can turn off the led display.

last 20 years on the shelf and the AA size has 3500 ma/h , C and D a great deal more.

Im on top of the highest hill in ~ 20 miles that should survive that mega tsunami from the Canary Islands. After that its a matter of where the gas will come for the generator and when the food runs out.

Hurricanes, Blizzards, Ice storms, Nor'easters up here in NH are just a minor annoyance for a few hours to two weeks before power is restored, gas and food has always been available in some surrounding town.

You'll then break a long standing Zed tradition of NOT watching the video yet comment about it anyway. ;)

So far the Government, to my knowledge, has NEVER EVER admitted to the existence of Area 51. In all the 10's of thousands of classified documents, pertaining to black projects at Area 51 that have been declassified, all references to Area 51 have been redacted (blacked out) except for two times. Those two times are thought to be mistakes where the person redacting the references missed them.

There have been a few men, who worked at Area 51, that have admitted the existence of the place after classified documents about the programs they worked on were released to the general public. But, NOT the Government. As far as the Government is concerned the place does not exist (unless things have changed recently).

Oh, and a lot of those other areas are right there next to Area 51. They are the parcels that make up the Nevada Test Site. Area 13 has a particular interesting history.... Area 13 BTW sits within Area 51 and if memory serves me right, is located about 5 miles North of Groom Lake.
