Patch panel. I get the idea and it seems sound. But, doesn't that cause more wear on the SO239 jacks on the panel, inviting potential problems? Or am I not getting the concept? I envision a phone style panel with Lilly Tomlin changing your antennas.

As my antenna farm grows, I would like to get away from having to use a switch, even though I have one of dubious quality.

All that garage needs now is a Ferrari. :)

Actually a patch panel has been used commercially and with the military with great performance. We did a lot of studies and testing with the patch panels using various connectors, including the BNC, TNC, PL-259, etc.

Even the "push on" Trompeter twinax connectors work fine for the lower frequency stuff.

Love the rack of Xtals in the "Novice Corner II" pic.
It's a pleasure to view your new shack, a great blend of
    vintage and new tech.
Best of luck, hope to work you soon from the new home.

Yeah, well the days of Sophia are now in the past. She was a delight... but Lamborghini used to make tractors - who knows what the future holds LOL!

    I want a Ferraro.

Not Ferrari, Ferraro. Ham radio implications.
