I like contests, getting a large amount of contacts quickly makes me happy or searching and pouncing for a country I need or state towards an award. That usually wouldn't be on except for a contest that's fun.
Getting huge pile ups is really niceeee if I haven't forgotten to bring a bottle of water to the radio as I don't like using the automated caller.
Basically if the calls keep coming back "this lady is not for moving on" til I have them all in my wee log.

Hey girls! I'm 14 and I love meeting other yls in this awesome hobby!

I've had my extra license since I was 10 and there are so many 'favorite' things

I love tuning the bands at night digging out those weak DX signals. I also love traveling for ham radio stuff, like conventions or DXpeditions ( I was a youth member on the YDXA 2018 ). But prolly at the top of my list is definitely contesting!!! Nuthin like a full weekend of competition with my buddies!

Hi! I am becoming obsessed with propagation! I don’t know why it fascinates me so much. My antenna is a hand-me-down homebrew, so I guess I have lots of time to contemplate the mysterious ways of the ionosphere!

Is the YL OP net still active on ALARA?

I never tire of this aspect of the hobby!

    ..propagation, a wire

I enjoy checking VOAProp and the Solar Report.

I like selecting a likely location and putting up a wire I put together for that location.

I enjoy finding out all the features on the transceivers I have, finding out no that is uninteresting to me! or love that! ..but all that is secondary to propagation, a wire

I would like to know more about antennas.

I do not tire finding out more about antennas for amateur radio.

The most perfect experiences of the amateur radio hobby, for me, are in winter under the night sky in the mountains.
