Some details on this report naming the individuals from DARC that contributed work and/or attended the CEPT meetings.

    Again, congratulations!

"At the meeting of the CEPT Project Team A in June in Prague, only Germany had spoken out against the French suggestion: The DARC unit Frequency Management with Ulrich Müller, DK4VW, and Bernd Mischlewski, DF2ZC, and RTA consultant Hanspeter Kuhlen, DK1YQ, had despite the short-term nature of the French entry still have an opportunity to make an opinion. This then led to the rejection of the proposal by the German delegation. At the meeting of the Conference Preparatory Group of the CEPT this week in Ankara, further European administrations spoke out against the French proposal. Thus, the necessary quorum of at least six refusals was met.

DF2ZC had previously prepared a detailed paper for the DARC, in which field strength calculations and signal simulations clearly show that the simultaneous operation of amateur radio and AMS in the 2 m band is not possible without considerable mutual interference. This document was even introduced as an official contribution of Germany in Ankara. Also, the IARU had substantiated in a separate statement substantive why the French request is not feasible."

And with a corporate lackey now head of the FCC, expect things to get even worse. It goes to the highest bidder with this administration.
