Kind of wondering when an SDR radio is just a radio now.

6600 looks a lot like the IC-7300. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery I guess....

Your joking right. 6600 looks like Maestro with radio built in. The form factor came out before the 7300.

"However, as with the existing Flex 6000 models, the Flex ‘M’ can still be used with an additional Flex Maestro in order two operators can use the same radio on different bands at the same time."

According to Steve at Flex this statement in the Waters and Stanton comments at the beginning of this thread about using 2 operators using the same radio IS NOT possible at this time on any of the 6000 series radios. It is however in process of being programmed.

HONESTLY GUYS with all of the "High-Techie" innovations that ALL the equipment manufacturers are coming up with, in TODAY'S WORLD" it's developing "NOISE-REDUCTION ALGORITHMS", considering that the vast majorities have to deal with NOISE, and with that it can sometimes preclude any of us from making ANY QSOs!!! It's just the "Nature of the Beast" and the (Radio Manufacturers) better HOME IN ON THAT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE!!!
