That's the control head for the ACOM 2000 amplifier.

Looks like the control unit for an Acom 2000 amplifier.

    Great video BTW.

It's silly-overpriced for what it turned out to be. No SO2R. Lets see it on CW... still a Clicky clacky relay for break-in? On a 4-grand radio they couldn't afford pin diodes?

With the IC-7300 at just a kilo-buck, buying three of those (two to use as real SO2R and one on the shelf for a backup) seems to make a whole lot more economic sense....

At $2999 it's a maybe ... and I fully expect the price will fall down to that range by Dayton / Xena '18.

How many did you guys actually ship out on that busy first-day to fill the backlog of pre-orders?

I noticed Icom doesn't use packing styrofoam anymore. Wonder why?

Very nice rig! And since it's an Icom, it must be really solid. It's priced a bit stiff for many Hams, however. 'Glad to see the selectivity is back up to snuff and equal to the significantly lower priced IC-7200. The 7300 lost 20dB in IF selectivity over the old(er) 7200. BTW- If the 7610 has such a great, larger display then why use the big monitors on the wall? Was that just for the video or is the op. visually impaired?

I imagine the use of the monitors is just because you can with this rig. It is one of the differentiators over the 7300 which does not have a video out port.

I think it would be terrible if the guys that want only knobs on their radios started wanting waterfall displays on their radios too. How are going to keep them down on the farm once they have seen Paris?
