    Does this DR-2x repeater support commercial freq rather than 144-148 like 143 or 161?

    I am pretty sure the specs say 50 watts in an environmentally controlled environment. Many towers I am at are fully controlled to 68*. That said, would you run your car engine at red line all day long? Its called head room and it makes total sense. Just because it has the capability does not mean you should run it full out. That goes with any device.

    So you spent twice the money on a repeater and it puts out more power. Geee... I am shocked. How about running the Yaesu at 25 watts, add an amp and have 100 watts and still be under budget? I would rather have he Amp do the heavy work than the built in transmitter any day.
