We just received a packet this morning that the satellite exited low power mode and may have started flashing. I'm a little surprised given the low battery voltage.

Thanks! The satnogs observations are a data mine. I just wrote up how we're trying to use the received signal strength to determine satellite antenna orientation with respect to the ground stations. https://blogs.brown.edu/umbricht/2018/11/08/triangulation/

Even weak receptions or seeing no packets is useful. It tells us the antenna might have been pointed away from your direction.

The satellite orbit is now entering a phase where the sunlight is peaking. After a long time in low power mode it is now becoming more active and could start flashing soon. It has also started posting status updates on twitter:

Anyone with a confirmed visual flash sighting?

I've asked the same question on Twitter since their bot is stating that it is flashing but have not had anyone respond that they have seen a flash. I would. personally, love to see one but the bot has not reported flashing while overheard here.
