E. Flinn Greathouse, Sr., 97, of North Little Rock, passed away August 11, 2015. Flinn as most knew him by was still active in the hobby performing VE duties. After the passing of his wife, Flinn sold his equipment but still had a presence in the community and hobby. Edwin F. Greathouse, Sr, W5DLH SK SK August 11, 2015 E. Flinn Greathouse, Sr., 97, of North Little Rock, passed away August 11, 2015. Born in Little Rock to Edgar Gaston Greathouse and Vivian Cajul Greathouse, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and Korea. A retired electronics technician with KATV Channel 7 for over 27 years, he was also a 33rd Degree Mason, and a deacon in the Baptist church. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Amelia Frances Polk Greathouse, second wife, Merle Gene Foster Greathouse, and a sister, Delores Smith. He is survived by his son, Edwin F. Greathouse Jr. and his wife, Marion of Romance; grandchildren, Michelle Edette Gramling (Paul) of Fayetteville, Heather Edie Strickland (Lee) of Cabot, and Edwin F. Greathouse III of Romance; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Josiah, Drake, Jewel, Angel, Edwin IV and Abby; great-great-grandchild, Carter; and nephews, Jimmy, John and Lynn Polk. Visitation will be Thursday, August 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Friday, August 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. John Polk, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
