    hi!

I'm looking for a replacement molex socket for the 706mkiig. The previous owner broke off the tab on the socket so power cables don't actually stay plugged in.

What should I be searching for?

    Thanks!

I always call them Molex connectors too, but, I think they are actually metric.

the MFJ plug 5535 should fit,.... $20.

I had similar issue with the plug on my PRO III, I just unscrewed the two leads from the board, and ran new wires thru a rubber boot that fit the chassis hole, and then installed Anderson PP connectors.

FWIW, I also replaced that junk ICOM fuse holder too. They have a habit of developing a voltage drop.

Oh,..... I just reread your post, are you looking for the female end that mounts to the rear panel?

Whatever you do, be real careful when removing the chassis mounted connector, it is REAL close to other ckt brd components inside the enclosure.

    Good Luck
