Ok so I'm a General (9/11/10) and I'm really interested in CW. I am unaware if the 440 has a keyer. I don't think it does but I just wanted to make sure before I got a keyer and Iambic key. Anyone wanna confirm or show me?

Also Do you think I would be able to get one for cheaper sense im 15 (even a few dollars off) or is it back to the real world?

From what I can find, memory keyer was listed as a feature but it is not actually a feature of the radio. I didn't see anything about it in the TS-440S manual.
I am sure we will have more response.
Be careful in buying a used rig. Lots of scams out there to get your money!!

Open you TS-440S Instruction manual, I have a printed copy for my TS-440S, to page 10 (REAR Panel).

#10 - KEY jack. This is a 1/4" jack (MONO) for a STRAIGHT KEY,
with open voltage on the contacts of ~ 5.5 VDC.

Your external keyer's output normally plugs into this jack.

In this time period, early 1980s, the Curtis 8044 IC (US design and mfg) and other TTL approaches (e.g. AccuKeyer) were new and not incorporated by the Japanese into their radio designs.
