With the increased interest in DMR, D-Star and Fusion voice protocols, OCAPA is sponsoring a Ham Aide: Digital GOTA. The focus will be to orient folks to the various protocols, operating procedures, and programming radios. The event will be held at the Salvation Army Central Oklahoma Area Command (COAC), NW 10th & Penn, on Saturday, 27 August, beginning at 9:00 AM and ending around 2:30 PM; we're working on getting lunch brought in at a reasonable cost. There will be concurrent, hourly sessions on each protocol. We'll also have folks available to help program HT's. Even if you don't own a DMR, D-Star or Fusion radio, this is an excellent opportunity to 'get smart' on the various protocols and pick the one you would like to pursue. More details will be coming out shortly
Please note!!! Ham Aide: Digital GOTA is open to one and all!!!! All members of the amateur radio community are welcome.
