California AB-1785 signed - Bans Ham Radio Usage in Vehicle

We have a significant initiative in process to get this re-written. It probably will not be effective until later this year.

Similarly various law enforcement and legislative opinions are in-process - but beware, opinions a) do not change the law itself, b) will probably not get to or be heeded by all law enforcement or courts.

 

Tickets are all about REVENUE GENERATION!!! The more tickets the CHP writes, the more cash MOONBEAM has to squander!!! And Squander HE DOES!!! Now the current WHINEY THINGY is the outrageous Pensions they are required to pay out. Millions and BILLIONS!!! They gotta come up with it somewhere. So Police are obliged to pull over motorists even if they think their Tires are too dirty! ANY WAY they can to raise cash to be squandered!!
