The new system will replace the aging, problematic units currently on the ISS. ARISS also needs funding to keep introducing ham radio to thousands of students, teachers, parents, and whole communities—and inspiring students about STEM and radio. Kudos to Kenwood! I love working packet on the ISS and would be very excited to continue and also be able to try voice. I have no luck on the new satellites mainly because certain hams use them like a local repeater and I never can get in! hehe
