I have a few issue with my newly built Allstar node….I am new to Allstar. This is also my first post.

    Here is what IS working:

I am running HamVoip’s most current image on a Raspberry Pi 2 with AriUSB interface connected to a old Icom Mobile radio with 100mb internet. I can ping allstarlink.org successfully. I have confirmed that my node is registered properly. During all functions my CPU % does not exceed 39%. I am able to SSH into my node. I have set all my audio levels both RX and TX. I can hear the timed auto ID every 10 min on my HT clearly. I hear all notifications like “Connection Failed” clearly.

    Here is what's NOT working:

    1. Using my HT (I have tried 3 different HT's) all DTMF commands will not work. Although while in CLI mode, I can see in the prompt my commands printing on the screen. For example: if I press " * 8 0 " on my HT I see * 8 0 on the CLI screen as if it is registering my command. But when doing this nothing happens and the command does not execute.

    2. When in CLI mode, when I type “rpt fun <mynodenumber> *80” nothing happens.

    3. When in CLI mode, when I type “rpt fun <mynodenumber> *3<nodenumber>” after about 2 min or so I will hear “connection failed” on my HT.

Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Are you fowarding the proper ports on your router ?

    Does *75 work ?

    1) I believe so. I am forwarding port 4560-4570 both TCP & UDP to the appropriate static IP i created for my Pi node. I am also forwarding port 22 for SSH.

Yes *75 works, as do all other commands only when executing the command via CLI mode, all are just delayed. I also tried *75 command from my HT: While in CLI mode i can watch my DTMF commands print on the screen as i type them on my HT, but i get the same result, a very delayed transmission.

Below I copied and pasted from my CLI prompt using *81 command 3 times in a row and waiting for a transmission to come through: (i added some notes on the side) :)

    -------------------

I cant seem to find any patterns as to what is delaying all the commands.
I get the same results whether i use CLI mode or my HT dtmf commands. Thanks for your input!

    Some delay is normal.

You need to do a disconnect all (*76).

If something is connected, It will send your Play command over the network. Until Play is done you will have a large delay.

It looks to me that your delay is from Play.

    Good Luck.
