Thank you, for keeping "us" informed.
I'm afraid "we've" kicked the proverbial hornet's nest.
Now they're just trying to prove something.
Thank You Fred and Staff at QWRZ for looking out for us ! ! !
Thanks for the heads up.
I watched a CNBC documentary a while back about Nigerian scam "boiler rooms" - once they find a "soft target" (people who will easily fall for the phishing scam) word spreads to all the members of their scam team and they then really work it. I think that's where we are - they've pulled off maybe $5000 in scams the last few days so now they're likely going to really pour on the super sauce to get people to give up their logins...
Just know that the Moderation team is watching every single ad like a hawk - we look at every call sign photo for the smallest hint that it's fake.
And to everyone who peruses the Swapmeet forum - don't hesitate to hit "report" if you see a suspicious looking ad.
Nope, but if you send me enough to get a Flex 6700, I'll name it the Flexlette.
May want to send an email to everyone saying you will never send an email like that.
thanks...for the heads up..73's
CNN and MSNBC confirmed with each other that it's the Russians!
(I hear Nigeria is nice this time of year)
And when there is no moderator on line(which is rare these days) be comforted to know that there are a few of us on line who are on the constant look out for these scammers. AJ4GQ,KA2FIR and myself to name a few.
