I've used Terminal as my Telnet application for Packet Cluster for many years now. Recently however, I'm encountering a form of a "dead session" phenomena that has me stumped. Recently, the site VE7CC has become one of those "dead session" sites for me.

    Specifically:
    telnet dxc.ve7cc.net (my command)
    Trying 70.69.14.214...
    Connected to dxc.ve7cc.net.
    Escape character is '^]'.
    *** Connected to VE7CC-1:
    Greetings from the VE7CC-1 cluster.
    Located near Vancouver BC
Running CC Cluster software version 3.101c

Yet, at the point where I enter my call, the session become INOP. Terminal itself does not think the session is closed, however.

However, if Terminal is launched through a link on a web page as found on bcdxc.org, my login is successful and DX spots flow. The line of code within the bcdxc.org web page is:

    "telnet://dxc.ve7cc.net:23" (no surprises here)

Of course, I have also tried starting a Telnet session with port 23 specified without success. I am guessing that something is different in the Terminal environment when launched from Safari, but I can't guess what.

    OS 10.11.6

    Thanks in advance!
