I have a 897D, and just picked up an AL-811. I have been using my USB-62B RT Systems cable to run HRD with the 897D. I hooked up the AL-811 through the ACC jack, by moving jumper J1027 thus moving Q1108 collector to one of the ACC tips.

The amp works fine without the USB-62B plugged in, but when I connect the cable up the TX-Grd is pulled down, causing the amp to key up.

Any body have recommendations? I want to run HRD and my amp.

I found out that the unused wires in the cable have been connected to the sheild, which of course is grounded. Pin 3 is the coneected to the open collector of Q1108.
