Overall, the event is entirely a political and it doesn't belong in the ham radio world. It doesn't unite. It drives a wedge between amateurs when the proclaimed and partnered UN sites are read and their agendas are revealed to be supportive of a globalized socialist agenda and to advancing the desires of antagonistic and tyrannical nations. My station will not participate & I'll let others know why in my local sphere of influence when/if it comes up in conversation. Others will make their own choice after that. It's no loss to those that support the event, so don't get yourself in a twist.
