    a coil and cap and a wire.
    "ping" it with a short dc pulse.
    you can see it ring on a scope. and hear on radio
    the wire will radiate the rf signal...
    keep pinging...

    Enjoyed the clear description. The simple way I was told was to imagine two coiled wires in a transformer generating interacting magnetic fields. Then they were separated and uncoiled but still resonating over a distance. I think this video gives a lot more of the "how" information than that explanation.
