    There is a report that the old and dying sun spot AR2987 has exploded.

    It is actually confirmed that the arrival of a CME releases quakes as the planet gets rattled by increased solar wind. A

    That is pseudo science.

    Earthquakes are not triggered by CME's. The data does not support that unique explanation.

    This is your big chance: predict now the time and location of the quake this will CME cause.

    You realize if you nailed it, you'd be a SUPERSTAR in earthquake prediction!!

    Not poking a jab - this really is a huge opportunity for you to cash in on your predictions

    But you need to post the exact time and exact location BEFORE the CME hits earth. You can't predict "after the fact"

    Aim those HF/VHF/UHF beams North. On CW it sounds like people shuffling their feet on a wood floor covered with some sand.

    Is this why 40 and 80 are really noisy right now? (0600Z on the 13th).
    It's S9+ here when it's normally S1-S3, and a couple of Web SDRs in CA and Utah look like below.
    There's a lot of thunderstorm activity in the Eastern part of the US too, don't know if that could be it.
    I'm just curious because I haven't seen it like this before.

    We had a Phi angle flip which would account for the noise. Not a big deal but getting hit at the same time as the flip might be. Not this time.
    As far as the OP is going at this is an attempt to muddy the waters and why it is posted on the front page. There was no explosion just a filament release. It's not a big storm or even close. Just trying to make space weather observers foolish in the neophytes eyes.
    I just want to point out this websites agenda. Non stop hiding actual truth and pushing the narrative. They think you all are stupid. No shame No shame at all.

    Mine are too. Not because I'm worried about earthquakes in NJ. It's the traffic on the GSP heading to and from the shore points. Head west, young man! :)
