Getting closer to landing in the US. I'm excitedly following this one and I'll have discount codes available when it comes out to help with the price.
GSOC with RF deck plus tuner- hmmmm. Very curious what the USD price will be what with all that's going on. Thank you for the update! Be well and stay safe!
Cool I think. I have a 705 so not for me. Interested to see what it can do once more details come out. Power etc...? But if it has say 20 watts with an auto tuner built in that would be pretty darn good.
Not as far as I could tell from web searching. I was interested for a while but steered clear until they hopefully resolved the issues. With the X6100 in the pipeline, I'm guessing the GSOC will be allowed to fade away with no fixes.
Nice preview. XIEGU is a company from Sweden. The price of this Transceiver is in the pre-order given with 695,00 Eur or 827.19 USD. Take a look at XIEGU.EU . The site is very slow, so be patient.
No, I returned mine during the 6 month time frame. Firmware was a train wreck. I like my G90, but even it has things they never fixed and firmware updates have stopped.
Chongqing Xiegu Technology Co., Ltd. is about as communist as a company can get. Sweden has notoriety for their SAAB and meatballs.
10 W transmit power with external power source, 5 W with internal battery, as specified on Xiegu X6100 HF/50MHz Portable SDR Transceiver - Xiegu.eu
Youre right. What I found is only the worldwide distributor in Europe. Seems to be a division of the company.
As owner of G90 in the past I can say that each new release of Xiegu Rig was underbaked (raw software). Thus, I would expect 6100 from start to be very buggy.
The supposed 705 killer, eh? The 705 runs just south of 1,300 USD; the Zeye-goo just north of 800 USD. Features comparison aside for a moment ... Where you going to send your Zeye-goo for warranty repair if needed? Which manual is going to be more readable? How did the OP get "discount codes" and where were they from? Does anyone else sense some pecuniary interest here? Necessary nit pick: the audio was annoying. A couple minutes tweaking a graphic equalizer would have easily smoothed out the response and made for a more pleasant listening experience.
Got to slow down with your reading.... Pileup Communications, a Swedish privately owned business, is the operator of Xiegu.eu, PileupDX.com and SunSDR.eu. We focus in specialised web shops targeting well defined interest groups in the radio communication field. The owners of Pileup Communications are active and passionate amateur radio operators. Meaning this company you think is Xiegu runs the website, that's it. Chongqing Xiegu Technology Co., Ltd. makers of the Xiegu radio is as CCP as you can get. Oh and Youtube the Xiegu factory tour and see where your wonderful radios are made. Frightening.
