    It’s a YOTA Summer![IMG]

Since Youth on the Air camp was postponed until 2021, we’ve added some BONUS events that you can do from home for 2020!

Virtual YOTA Day - Wednesday, June 24, 2020 2-8 pm EDT

Join us for a series of youth-led forums and some fun competitions that you can do from home, even if you don’t have a radio! Youth who were selected to attend YOTA camp 2020 will be able to meet on Zoom for a day of learning and fun, and have a chance to win prizes! You’re not one of those selected to attend the 2020 camp? NO PROBLEM. We will also stream the Zoom meeting on our YouTube channel so you can watch and follow along at home. Learn how to track down the location of a transmitter without leaving your chair, sharpen your contesting skills, and more!

Competition prizes are graciously donated by Heil Sound.
The grand prize is donated by R&L Electronics.

    Special Event Station W8Y

During the week of June 21-26, when the camp was supposed to take place, we will have a special event station on the air! Youth who were selected to attend YOTA camp 2020 will take turns operating as W8Y throughout the week from the station of their choosing. Campers should sign up at YouthOnTheAir.org to be added to the schedule. Contact Marty, NN1C at special@youthontheair.org with questions. If you were not selected as a camper for 2020, be sure to work W8Y on the air!

    Field Day W8Y Remote

We will operate Field Day from a remote station. Logging will be done by remote desktop. Youth who were selected to attend YOTA camp 2020 can sign up for a time slot on the remote station provided by Jay, K4ZLE. Sign up for times at YouthOnTheAir.org. If you have questions, contact Chris KD8YVJ, at fieldday@youthontheair.org.

    Field Day Club Entry

If you choose to operate Field Day from your home station, you can add your score to a club for this year only. Enter “Youth on the Air” as the club name on your Field Day score entry. This is for ALL hams who are age 25 and younger.
