Is there any replacement tube for 6DQ5 and 7360 ? I also need the datasheet of this two tubes. It is critical to replace a 6DQ5 tube with another one from the same manufacturer?

    Best regards

    Tube substitutions

You can sub tubes for the 7360, as in previous posts, but you may have to rewire the socket.

As for the 6DQ5, it is an old style horizontal sweep tube with (ISTR) about 20 watt plate dissipation. You might find a 6DQ6, but I'm sure the pinout on the socket is different.

If you have access to an RCA Receiving Tube Manual, look up the basing (for example 7CK). Cross reference that to other tubes, and maybe you'll find a substitute.

Most sweep tubes are similar in performance; only differing in plate dissipation. Thanks to the CBers who like running AM linears with sweep tubes, they've become rare and very pricey.

    I'd like to know too..

To YO8TOT..like others who have responded..i checked both the RCA manual and Howard Sams 19th edition of tube subs..paying attention too to European subs..none found anywhere..so it becomes a replacement WITH tube socket and/or pin connection mods..i asked a similar query on the AM forum..but after remembered where i had seen the supposed sub for this..turns out it is a complete reversal of what you're seeking..this takes a 6146 and subs to a 6DQ5..the article is in the 73 mag July 1962 page 41 & 42 by K5JKX..hopefully you can pull this article out of the web or remember that Antique Electronic Supply does carry the 6DQ5 in stock for about $6.00 US..
Good luck and keep us informed of how you make out( can't help with the 7360..someone already posted this sub earlier) 73 de DAVE

In the end I bought 4 tubes 6dq5 from ebay with 5$. I was more expensive the shipping cost to Romania :). I think I will do the same with 7360. I'm restoring an old Swan sw-240 and I want to see first how it is working on RX. 7360 is used only for TX.
