Work hard at it like the rest of us did and put some effort into it. The FCC already made this so easy that a 9 year old can pass it.

Really? Just when did the FCC start writing the present day element question pool?

It's too bad most doctor offices are closed. I'm sure a proctologist would be happy to help some of you with that stick...

From http://www.arrl.org/news/new-amateur-extra-question-pool-released : "The number of questions in the pool was reduced from 712 to 622."
The questions are fewer, but don't expect the licens exam to be any easier. On the other hand, it is not nearly as difficult as many say, and as a General you have a very good starting point. The 2020-2024 question pool can be downloaded from http://www.ncvec.org/page.php?id=356 .

A good to way to study is to take some of the many online tests which are all based on the question pool. If there are some areas where you score low, go to the ARRL study guide for Amateur Extra and repeat the text, or go to Dave Casler's excellent series of Amateur Extra videos on YouTube, starting with . I guess Dave will be updating the videos to the upcoming 12th edition of the ARRL Study guide. Then continue to take online texts, repeat areas of low score and keep going until your score is steadily above 85 %, then give the real exam a try. To pass you need to answer 37 out of the 50 questions correctly. Good luck.

My memory may fool me, but when I passed the three license tests in one sitting a few years ago, I am confident that I did not write a single sentence for any of them, and still I passed with flying colors. I can't even remember I wrote a single sentence studying for them, so frankly I'm hard pressed seeing that one's spelling or grammar is the very least of a relevant requirement for passing any of the license exams. So bro', next time you feel the urge to patronize, ask yourself whether you know enough about the other person to justify your comments, and if you would have said the same to him face to face? If not, don't. Actually, never patronize. Same goes for the "likers" of your post. Elmering is always good, so how about answering KI4HTC's question?

I was also fortunate enough to pass all three tests in one sitting back in 2011. I was 61 at the time.
I got all my answers right in the Technician, 2 wrong in the General and 4 wrong in the Extra.

I found the best way to practice was going thru all the questions for all three levels on Apps
I had downloaded to my phone. $15.00 well spent.
