there it is !, happy ?, we all make errors in live,no one scapes from it ... inteligent post thanks ...
Indeed.... It always looks kinda silly when criticizsing the intelligence of others that one doesn't do some simple spell checking first "Those who live in glass houses" etc. etc. Dave W7UUU
I also thought it was alittle odd that an article about monitoring a satellite didn't include the frequency. ...DOUG KD4MOJ
Normally, Chip is very thorough and precise. IMO, he "dropped the ball" on this one. Others have posted the transmitter frequency and modulation, but they didn't state their source. Why all the drama and mystery? Is it a secret cabal that is only for "insiders"? Before anyone takes me seriously, I'm just being flippant with my remarks here. I spent about 30 minutes and found the following: https://issfanclub.eu/2019/12/12/calling-radio-amateurs-help-find-ops-sat/ There you go, remember where you heard it first!
Good grief, I don't get all the drama. The link is to Space.com, which is not a ham radio site. The THIRD link in the story in the THIRD paragraph (not to hard to find) will bring you to the page titled, "Calling radio amateurs: help find OPS-SAT!" with all the relevant information. Sheesh!
My hat's off to you for finding the critical info in the THIRD link in the THIRD paragraph. Gee, I can't imagine anyone NOT finding something that obvious. I must be a low grade moron because I didn't find it after clicking on SEVERAL of the links that were provided. If I would post an article like this, I would put the pertinent info in plain text, and then provide the most relevant link that contains the most pertinent information as my first link.
