HD1 dual band digital radio uses Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Tier 2 Standard protocol. It is compatible with the popular MOTO TRBO series Tier I and II using standard encryption, as well as other makes and models of DMR supported radios. It is also compatible with any existing analog two-way radio operating on the supported UHF and VHF frequencies for easy migration to digital technology. And almost all the operations can be done via radio keypad.

Nice plants.

I wish they would make these go up to 512 Mhz. NYFD and EMS go above 480 Mhz. Nice to have programmed for monitoring.

HD1 can edit most function via radio keypad. for example: change DMR or VFO mode. Choose channel with channel knob. write the channel number by keypad. Also can edit radio ID. and so on.

But, like every new thing out on the amateur radio market...YOU are the tester and recipient of all the BAD...and the good...a product has to offer. Been there and done that FAR too many times with Yaesu and Icom, specifically. But, at least Yaesu and Icom have established and GENUINE customer support. >>>AND THIS???<<< Sick of these "Johnny Come Lately" products from little known or unknown manufacturers who have no resources...or interest... to FIX the issues when their products turn to heck in a hand basket. Learned that lesson with Ten-Tec and my Omni 6+!
