10 m contest is on

I have been listening on 28.400 all day....now I just started
hearing some OP's . Turn on those 10 m rigs!!

I can tell people are there, but cant pull them out the noise

So far, the only OP I have heard was N7VF. I didnt hear any contacts getting to him, so I worked him. After that, I heard him get 2 or 3 more, then it all went ::oof:::, and I am hearing no one anywhere

 

It is all quiet for me here in Indiana this morning. I don't hear anybody above 14MHz.

 

I in the CW portion and the noise is so quiet the meter never moves.

So far

It's 13:20 EST and I have 23 QSO's on c.w.
I have been listening mostly on 28.050 and using
only straight key hoping some of the newer c.w. ops
will find me for a QSO.

I alternate with my wife, Debbie / W1GKE. She is
using the SSB for an hour or so and then I'm back
on C.W. I sure hope we get a little lift on the band.
Every now and then an airplane goes over and I can
hear signals very briefly.

There may also be some enhancement due to the
Geminid meteor shower due to peak tonight and Sunday.

Hey all,

Get on CW, turn on the Kilowatt, aim the multi-element yagi South over the Gulf if in the central and southern parts of the Nation. Work the scatter modes!

I've done this in good and bad years when the band was closed. It works!

All quiet on 28.400 here in southern British Columbia.
Still listening.

 

Worked N4ARR, the noise is too heavy to do much.

 

Glad someone is hearing something! I went out to check that my antenna was still in the air. Only had 5 CW contacts today and not hearing anything on SSB.

 

Dead band here in Ohio. Only made 5 CW contacts all day. Hearing nothing on Phone.

 

Dead here in IL too!! Nothing!

 

I have been up on the radio all night, calling and listening, nothing!
I was kind of hoping to make some contacts!
