Charles Herschal Beaver was born in St. John's to Orpha and Charles Beaver.
He went to James John grade school and graduated from Benson High School.
Upon graduation, he was drafted into World War II.

When he came home in 1945 he went to work for PGE and PPL. He changed jobs to work for Portland Transit Co. to work on trolley busses. Portland Transit Co. became Rose Transit and later Tri-Met.

He married Barbara (Jean) Roeder and they spent 55 happy years together.

He is survived by his loving wife Jean; his son, Dan; his daughters, Anita and Kathy; 8 grandkids; 12 great-grandkids; and many nieces and nephews who loved him,
