Thanks for a wonderful Space Weather Woman report!

A couple months have gone by with many days of no sunspots.
We have been at rock bottom between the solar cycles for a while.

"We've got a lot riding on our solar cycle."

No sunspots, and high K-index... that's awful for F layer HF propagation.

Fortunately, at least for the next month or so, there will still be some occasional Sporadic E.
But, Sporadic E season is almost over.

Thanks again for a concise and informative forecast. No, we won't "pelt you with olives," but sure wish the propagation forecast looked better.

It's not like one can put Mr. Sun into the repair shop to see why the sunspots aren't appearing. And it could always get much worse. Just have to work with what is presented to us ham operators!

Thank you, Bonnie. From N9USZ in sunny Florida.

Wish she would mention for radio amateurs the opportunities of Aurora scatter during Aurora conditions. Pull out your weak signal VHF/UHF SSB/CW/digital units and point those beams to the north and make some contacts. It’s fun hunting and even more fun collecting grid squares, or QSO’s during those times. Of course CW, or fast digital modes are the preferred and practical choice. It’s CW for me at around 30wpm.

    N2RRA - FN31CB, I’ll be listening.

Last nights multi hop E opening had VE,ZP,PJ4,KP4 all getting their signals into the UK/Europe on 10 metre SSB but only one from the States was heard by me ! With the jet stream drifting South it favours Southern Europe now for trans Atlantic paths but still looking good for tonight (?)

Had almost 30 contacts from Korea to the EU a few days ago -- but it happens well after midnight. There's DX to be had some days, if you can keep odd hours.

I was at a party this weekend and a bunch of folks were playing Coronal Hole. They pronounced it a bit different, but that was after everyone had some adult beverages.
